English for Women Chelmsford

About

English for Women is a community project which aims to reduce isolation by providing a safe space where women can learn the language skills needed for everyday life, make friends and join in with their local community. Our groups are split into beginner, intermediate and advanced learners so there will be a group that will be at the right level for you. English for Women is not formal English classes but more topic-led discussions with the view to starting conversations, building confidence and making connections. We talk about a different topic each session so you can come to whichever day(s) work for you. Pre-school children are welcome. The sessions are free and there is no need to book. You will find a warm welcome and lots to talk about!
We run drop-in English conversation sessions at the YMCA every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during term time 10-12 for women who speak little or no English. Hot drinks & biscuits are provided and a play area is available for children aged 1-3. The sessions are free and there is no need to book. Our Monday English for All sessions are also open to men.
