What is this service?

Step Forward is designed to help young people aged 18–30 from the Southend and Basildon area take their first steps towards a rewarding career in healthcare. The programme offers an 8–12 week, fully funded and flexible structure that supports learners to get into healthcare roles across clinical, administrative, and estates and facilities pathways.

Are you unemployed, aged 18-30 and looking to start a rewarding job in healthcare? The role could be in estates and facilities, admin and clerical, or clinical. The Step-Forward Programme is a fully funded, flexible 8–12 week employment initiative designed to help you develop the skills and expertise needed to secure healthcare roles in your local area.

Who is it for?
 Young adults (18-30 years) from Southend and Basildon postcodes
 Those who are unemployed, economically inactive, vulnerable, or lacking work related skills
