The Religious Society of Friends: Chelmsford Meeting House

About

The Friends Meeting House is one of the more important religious buildings in Chelmsford, the county town of Essex. It is situated in Duke Street, close to the City Centre and across the road from Chelmsford Station. The Society of Friends are perhaps better known as the Quakers. The meeting house is a large one. It was built of white brick in 1826, and has a porch with sturdy Tuscan columns.
