About

Haven House Children?s Hospice believes that no family should have to face alone the difficulties of looking after a child with a life-limiting condition. We provide a range of services to the child and their families to support them through the most difficult circumstances imaginable. We offer planned respite, short break and end-of-life care, as well as services designed to improve emotional and physical wellbeing, across The White House, our Holistic Care Centre and in our local community. These include music therapy, therapeutic yoga, physiotherapy, complementary therapies, counselling, social work, coffee mornings for parents, play, Buddies (a sibling support group) and toy home loan. Since 2003, and particularly in the last five years, the growth in demand for our services for the whole family has been dramatic. Since opening we have cared for over 600 children and families across North and North East London, West Essex and East Hertfordshire. Working in partnership, we deliver these services whenever and wherever our families need them. In order to do this, the hospice needs to secure 3.6 million in 2015/16; with only 25% of this funded by government sources.
