Providing an archive and exhibition of local history artefacts, photographs, maps and documents. The hiring out of rooms to local societies and clubs and the holding of fundraising events for the Charity. Regular activities at The Galleywood Heritage Centre include: Patchwork & Quilting, U3A Camera Group, Essex Chordsmen Choir, Guitar Orchestra, WI Tea & Tiaras, Inland Waterways Association, Ukulele Group, Essex Society for Family History, Pilates, Meditation Group, Yoga, Zumba Classes, Low Impact Aerobics, Fitness Classes, Respiratory Exercises, 11 Plus Lessons, Gracie Ju Jitsu for kids, Baby Ballet, Robot Reg, and Metcalfe School of Dance.
They raise funds for the Heritage Centre on Galleywood Common, which provides meeting rooms, function rooms, toilets, a tea room and a museum displaying artefacts collected over a number of years.
