Their main activity is to provide short breaks to unpaid carers who care for adults and children with care needs as a result of disability, illness or age. In doing so they aim to relieve some of the stress felt by being a carer whilst helping them maintain their own health and wellbeing. They provide practical support in the home in order to enable carers to have a break. Their Day Centre in Braintree opens each Friday.
