Compass Gardens is a more intimate area with a nautical theme, which features full-size anchors within the garden seating area. There’s a well-equipped children’s play area.There are also ornamental and herbaceous beds and the public art project, ‘Marshland Mosaic’, wall which was created with the help of local artists and school children. The park links to Woodham Fen, a marshland area rich in saltmarsh plants and unusual birds.
