Disabled Facilities Grants, fund the adaptation of homes to meet the needs of a disabled occupant. These are provided in private and public sector dwellings. Examples of works include the installation of ramped accesses and stair lifts, conversions of bathrooms to provide level access shower facilities and in some cases, the conversion and/or extension of homes to provide ground floor facilities such as wet rooms.
