Besides football pitches, netball and tennis courts and an outdoor gym, it can also boast to being home of National League Chelmsford Hockey Club and the Chelmsford Cricket Club. Alongside the traditional pitches, Chelmer Park provides floodlit synthetic pitches for football and hockey. There are also fitness classes held in the park. Play areas, outdoor gym, cycle routes and extensive open space for gentle exercise and fresh air.
