Primarily the operation of the day centre, where light refreshments, inexpensive lunches, a social forum and bingo are provided weekly for the benefit of pensioners. Regular outings for the housebound elderly also organised and a visiting programme. Our objective is to assist the quality of life of the elderly. DURING PANDEMIC - offering meals on wheels. 11/1/21 A small independent charity providing a day centre, lunch club and social club for older residents of Chelmsford and the surrounding district. They provide a freshly-cooked, nutritious two-course meal five days a week at a reasonable cost, bingo sessions, arts and crafts classes, and outings. They signpost to services offered by Age UK and work closely with Chelmsford Community Transport, Action for Family Carers, Mid-Essex Stroke Club and the Royal Association for Deaf People. They provide community-based "on the job" training for Essex Police and opportunities for volunteering.
