WFUK BLOSSOM PROJECT - DOMESTIC ABUSE RECOVERY
What is this service?
A nature-based group therapy programme helping adult survivors, children and young people of domestic abuse learn strategies to help deal with their past experiences in a healthy way. The project aims to increase the likelihood of participants to thrive in the long-term and to prevent them repeating the cycles of abuse that they may have experienced.
Blossom help people wanting to move their lives forward but require further resilience building, learning to build healthy relationships, development of boundaries and trauma support. The project is facilitated by outdoor therapists who will provide support for participants who have experienced trauma through domestic violence and also those with complex needs that continue to hold them back in life.
WHO CAN USE THIS SERVICE?
This is a free programme for Adults, young people and children in Essex who are survivors or have witnessed domestic abuse.
HOW ARE SERVICES DELIVERED?
A group of maximum 10 participants will attend 8 sessions (one day a week for 8 weeks) to develop their self-esteem, confidence and coping abilities.
