Support to Thrive Youth Wellbeing Service
What is this service?
Thurrock and Brentwood Mind are offering pupils a free Early Intervention Wellbeing Programme called Support to Thrive.
The service is aimed at students aged 11-16 who struggle with mental wellbeing/attendance/performance at school and would benefit from one-to-one short-term support to strengthen and improve their wellbeing. Some of these wellbeing skills and techniques can include, but are not limited to:
Self Care, stress and anxiety management, school stress and refusal, building awareness, resilience, and boundaries, communication skills (e.g. assertiveness, relationships, friendships, professionals, presentations), grief, loss, and dealing with change, low mood/motivation, goal setting, confidence and achievements, time management and organisation, and anger management.
We also provide signposting support to parents which includes guides, leaflets, and websites that contain helpful information tailored to the needs of the young person.
Weekly sessions are provided via telephone or video link on MS Teams for 30-45 minutes. When sending a referral please use the subject heading MID STT Referral and students must attend secondary school and have a GP in the Mid/South Essex area.
We can provide wellbeing support for students during the school holidays if parents can facilitate MS Teams sessions at home. If any students require the service, please submit enquiries/referrals to youth@tbmind.org.uk.
