What is this service?

Home-Start Essex is a new organisation that has merged 7 previously independent schemes to deliver our service throughout the localities. Formerly Home-Start Chelmsford, Harlow, Maldon, Basildon, Brentwood, Witham Braintree Halstead and Uttlesford, we now are all working together to offer a variety of services to support families in need in these area and now Epping Forest, Castle Point and Rochford. We offer friendship and regular support to any parents with young children who are struggling so that every child can have the best possible start in life. Families are visited regularly in their own homes by a volunteer who have all had experience of parenting and know hard hard it can be sometimes.
We also offer family groups and wellbeing groups in some of the areas to also help parents and children to cope better.
