ARU Writtle Parkrun

What is this service?

A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event that you can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate, taking place every Saturday morning at 9 am at ARU Writtle College, Lordship Road, Writtle, Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 3RR.

Parkrun events take place every week and everyone is welcome to volunteer. There are plenty of opportunities to try new roles, apply your skills or learn new ones, be with friends and family, meet people and be a part of the parkrun community. You can volunteer alone or team up with someone else, and there are always people on hand if you have any questions. And every time you volunteer gets you one step closer to an official parkrun milestone, which rewards those who have volunteered 10 (for those under 18), 25, 50, 100, 250, 500 or 1000 times.
If you know in advance that you would like to volunteer, then please email aruwrittle@parkrun.com and they will be in touch. Please include your full name (and, if you know it or have one, your parkrun ID).
If you’re not sure of your weekend plans and don’t want to commit in advance, just turn up and talk to the volunteers when you arrive – there is always room for more volunteers
